Hello. The map and the links to relevant articles are very helpfull! Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteWhat is your opinion on the various conspiracy theories around the swine flu (e.g. http://www.blogondrugs.com/swine-flu/tamiflu-for-swine-flu-or-swine-flu-for-tamiflu/)?
Hey, anon.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading these theories that are emerging. I noticed that some are claiming that this is a bioterrorism event. I do find it odd that Donald Rumsfeld owns stock in the company that produces Tamiflu, and that it's the only product, beside Relenza, that works to combat the symptoms of the disease.
I think that the problem that led to the current crisis is agribusiness. The virus originated near a farm where over a million hogs are held in closed confines. People in the region have been complaining for years of respiratory illnesses. To me, if anyone should be indicted, it's the agribusinesses who really don't care about community health, as long as they can profit.
I just want to make sure my family is safe first. Then I will worry about who to blame. I have family in all the affected areas. Thank you for covering this.
ReplyDeleteThere is no one to blame. This is what happens when you crowd the animals in for mass production. And Rumsfeld, leave the dude alone. He made a smart investment that I should of made. It has proven to be a good product before the swine flu.
ReplyDeleteYeah.....tamiflu was great for bird flu as well. I agree about the agribusiness point but Rummy is a piece of shit of the highest order. There is no denying that.
